A few notable new theme parks will be sprouting up in Malaysia this year. KidZania Kuala Lumpur has it's doors newly opened earlier this year. Integrating experiential learning, KidZania offers children the opportunity to experience 90 different professions ranging from jobs in the civil service (police, firemen..etc) to professionals (chefs, reporters..etc)

The  LEGOLAND in Malaysia, will be the 7th under the LEGOLAND moniker. Slated to be completed by 15 September 2012, it is aimed at families with young children between 2-12 years old. Similar to most movie-themed Universal Studios Singapore, the park consists of seven themed lands when it opens: The Beginning, Lego City, Miniland, Land of Adventure, Imagination, Lego Kingdom and Lego Technic.

The park will be located “just across a waterway from Singapore” and will feature 40 rides, shows and attractions divided into six lands: Adventure, Imagination, Castle, Town, Xtreme, and Miniland. This park will also feature a Lego themed hotel and shopping area.

Iconic attractions as seen as other Legoland parks that will be added here include the Boat and Driving Schools, the Rescue Academy, The Dragon coaster, Royal Joust, Kid Power Towers and the Aquazone Wave Racers as well as the Lost Kingdom Adventure dark ride which was previously confirmed elsewhere. Another attraction by the name of Dino Island is scheduled to be completed.

Hope to post more updates with my family. See you there in September!
