When I Was... young, he dotes on me the most!
I remember... when i was in secondary school, i'wanted a hand phone badly, and i told him, without much hesitation he bought me one on my birthday which i still cherished it being the first cell phone i ever own.

Dad, thank you for... everything you had done for me.

You're my Dad for Life.

When I Was... 10, I penned this song for my dad and sang it to him when he returned from a business trip.
I remember...
There was a man, wise and strong
He loved one king, deep and long
He prays and reads, the Bible he loves
And sings his praise, to his God above
He loves his king by honoring others, and caring for them
He loves his family, he’s a kind and a happy man

Dad, thank you for... always being there for me.

You're my Dad for Life.

When I Was... in primary school, im so glad to have extra time with my parents in the cars when being driven to or fetch from school.
I remember... my dad making it a point to pick me and my elder brother up from school and bring us for lunch. Dad always knows the best place for cheap and good food even up till now. When we went to Taiwan in February this year, we had so much fun allowing him to be the tourguide, navigating around looking for food places.

Dad, thank you for... providing for the family in your own ways.
You're a great dad & I love you.

You're my Dad for Life.

When I Was... in hospital after fracturing my back from a fall. It was a terrible experience.
I remember... I was unable to walk at all after my fall from a great height. I was sent to the hospital for treatment and went through a series of x-rays and scans and was totally terrified at the extent of the damage caused by the fall. I was all alone in the hospital room, which was cold and unfriendly.

My dad rushing over from his workplace together with my mum, and how they brought me home after my stay in the hospital. It was very comforting to know that despite all the loneliness and challenges that I have to go through in life, there's always family to rely on. They brought me home, took care of me, and ensured my speedy recovery.

Dad, thank you for... Taking care of me and my family. It's definitely not easy being a dad. I'll learn from you. :)

You're my Dad for Life.

ALL ABOUT DAD: Share Your Appreciation!...

When I Was... in primary school, Smurfs were my favourite cartoon characters.
I remember... that they were all the rage at that time, the petrol stations
were giving Smurf figurines out to their customers. My dad who drove a rickety old van for his business
would bring home one every week or fortnight, much to my delight.

Through the years, there were a lot of tensions between my
dad and I. He struggled with drinking and gambling. As a result,
he didn't take very good care of the business, and hardly provided
for the family. We recounciled in the last year of his life
as the entire family took care of him after his stroke.

I'm not over 30 and I still have over 30 Smurf figurines, kept in
the cupboard as a reminder to me of the precious times when my dad showed his love for me in little ways.

Dad, thank you for... the Smurf memories.

You're my Dad for Life.
