If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I'm probably a million words richer by the end of the Chinese New Year! Because during the past few days, I had great time capturing hundreds of amazing moments using my iPhone photography apps.
I used to carry a compact camera around. These days, I find it much easier and convenient to use the iPhone's built-in camera. But iPhone photography has come a long way since the advent of the App Store. With lots of photography apps available, we're quite spoilt for choice. These apps not only enhance the looks of your photo professionally but they also let you share it on social network sites instantly.
With so many apps to choose from, one can easily get lost in these sea of apps. But not to worry! I've compiled 10 of the best photography apps which I believe, will offer something for everyone, from basic to advanced users. If I've missed any fantastic photography apps out there, please feel free to share them with all Dads in the quick reply comment below.
1. Instagram

If you desire an image with visual flair without any fussy editing, Instagram is a must-have. Just select the effects available and see your photo transform instantly. Perhaps what separates Instagram from others apps is it's photo sharing network. With millions of users, you can follow great albums all over the world. Just think of it as the Facebook of photos.
2. Fotolr Camera FX+

Unlike most photo apps, Fotolr Camera is one professional filtering camera which can help you see your photo effect before you snap shutter. This app works by combining different lenses and films to create your desired effects. You can buy more lenses and films but I reckon the free version is enough to get your creative juices flowing!
3. PhotoCurvesFree

If you enjoy manipulating photos manually, PhotoCurvesFree is for you. By adjusting individual color, tones and contrast on the curves, you can create an unlimited amount of interesting effects on your photo. It works almost similarly as the curve function in Adobe Photoshop CS. This is one powerful app not to be missed!
4. Puri! Lite

Puri! Lite is a photo sticker booth that you can bring with you everywhere. I downloaded it for my girls actually. Judging by their creation in a matter of minutes without any guidance, I can safely say it's fun and very easy to use!
5. Montager

As it's name implies, Montager is a simple app to piece your favorite photos together. The free version has 14 preset montages and give you 3 photo slots only. What I like about this app is you can resize, rotate and adjust your photos in any fashion you like.
6. PhotoFunia

This is by far, the best photo app I've ever seen. It does so much more than just processes photo effects. It also allow you to superimpose them on different and often, humorous scenarios. It's fun and very easy to use. No special computing skills required to perform photo manipulation anymore! From billboards advertisements to art galleries, you will definitely enjoy seeing yourself in this almost-believable environments. This is a must-have for families!
7. Tiny Planet Photos

Tiny Planet Photos is an iPhone app that transforms your photos to look like tiny planets, otherwise more commonly known as stereographic projections - a technique that essentially turns your photo into a sphere. While it's very easy to use, it's much harder to achieve the desired 'tiny planet' image. I guess that's where the fun in experimenting is - just trying and trying. You can also try this on another person's face for some funny and interesting results!
8. Tilt Shift Generator

This simple app allows you to create fake depth-of-field blur which creates a miniature effect. It works best when you have a wide angle photo of a landscape with familiar objects like cars. With the Tilt-shift generator, real cars will look like toy cars instead! The app also helps to isolate the focal point of an image. You can set your blur in a straight line or circular pattern. The effect can be applied to images shot in other apps and the resulting images can be exported in high-resolution.
9. 360 Paranoma
This is another must-have app. It lets you shoot panoramic shots extremely quickly, as quick as 20-30 seconds for a full 360. You have the ability to export them as still images or send them to people in very cool 360 degree VR galleries. Note that as interesting as this app is, it should not be used as a standard panoramic shooting app as you can’t really get a nicely straightened and cropped image for output and the image isn’t suitable for printing. Still, it is a fantastic way to share your immediate surroundings quickly to friends and family via Twitter or email.
10. Camera+

Finally, my favorite photography app - Camera+. This camera app has been my default tool for a few years now and I use it practically for every and any situation. It is jam-packed with a wide array of special effects and tone/contrast enhancement tools which would make any photograph look professional instantly. Not only that, it comes equipped with a 5 second self-timer and stabilizer function which releases the shutter once your hands are steady. Pretty cool! This is one app I cannot live without as long as I use an iPhone.
Well, there you have it. Thank you for checking out this list of iPhone photography apps. If you do find it useful, please drop us a word in the quick reply below. Also, if there are some apps that should be included in the list, please feel free to share with everyone!
